HYPER CONVERGED Infrastructure
Let them grow peacefully

What is HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure?

Sinopia has been in the worlds of infrastructure layer management, such as computing, communications, and storage on X86 servers, since 2008. Thanks to our extensive knowledge and experience in HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure, we have brought many customers to a state in which they can manage the critical infrastructure of the organization with physical and logical sustainability, without failure points.

HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure for the developing organizational and technological needs.

What is HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure?

Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) links different widely used data storage center hardware by way of local storage resources with advanced software, in order to create a flexible technological infrastructure that will replace old legacy systems that are made up of separate servers, storage networks, and storage arrays.

The birth of HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure

With the explosion of the Internet in the 1990s, a technological infrastructure that included a SAN server and storage networks was introduced. This infrastructure included standalone modules that could be updated or modified without affecting other layers. This infrastructure revolutionized IT departments, and has been used ever since.

But now, in the age of the hybrid cloud, the 3-tier layer can no longer satisfy IT needs, because it is a complex and  unorganized solution that does not provide a solid foundation for DevOps, and one that is not scalable enough for the evolving organizational and technological needs.

Today, HCI is the infrastructure of choice for companies that want to stay competitive, and to ensure that their data centers are ready for the “information cloud.”

How does HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure work?

The Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) brings together all data center stacks, including computing, storage, storage network, and virtualization. Complex and expensive legacy infrastructure is replaced by a platform that operates on industry-standard servers that allow organizations to start small and grow with scalability, as needed. Software that runs on the servers distributes all operating functions throughout the cluster for superior performance and resilience.

The components of HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure

HCI is composed of two main components, the management plane and the distribution plane.

The management plane – this enables easy management of HCI resources from one place and on  one display, and eliminates the need for separate management solutions for servers, storage networks, storage, and virtualization.

The distribution plane – information distribution is done throughout the server cluster that provides storage services, virtualization, and networks to guest applications—whether VM processors or code directory-based applications.

Almost all advanced HCI solutions are defined as characterized by 100% software, regardless of proprietary hardware. Each HCI node in the cluster runs  a Hypervisor  (Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi, or Microsoft Hyper-V), and the HCI control features act as a separate virtual machine on each node, creating a fully distributed fabric that can increase resources with the addition of new nodes.

The benefits of Hyper Converged Infrastructure

The benefits of moving from legacy complex infrastructure to the simplicity of HCI are many, but among the main reasons for organizations making the transition are lower costs, improvement in performance, consistent performance, smaller impact on the data center, greater efficiency and productivity of  IT teams, and ROI maximization.

The connection of HYPER CONVERGED infrastructure to the cloud

Enterprise IT teams are currently looking for ways to provide on-premises IT services with the speed and operational efficiency of public cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. A comprehensive enterprise cloud platform bridges the gap between traditional infrastructure and public cloud services – and entry  into HCI is at the core of the hybrid cloud.
